Satisfied With The Win Over PSS Sleman, Persib Coach Budiman: This Is The Result Of The Players' Hard Work

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung interim coach Budiman Yunus said he was satisfied that his team secured a 1-0 win over PSS Sleman in the 5th week of the Indonesian League 1 at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Friday 19 August.

Quoted from the club's official website, Saturday, August 20 as reported by Antara, this is Persib Bandung's second consecutive win in Liga 1 this season, as well as their first three points away from home.

According to Budiman, the victory in the match was the result of the hard work of all the players who took to the field because he could only provide support from outside the field.

"Alhamdulillah, I thank Allah SWT, today we were able to achieve a second victory. This victory was the result of the hard work of the players. I couldn't do anything because I was outside the field," said Budiman.

The former Persib player in the mid-2000s also gave his appreciation to his team, who, according to him, had worked during the match and in the end locked the win.

"Today I congratulate the players who have worked hard for 90 minutes," said Budiman.

Persib Bandung defender and captain Achmad Jufriyanto is grateful that his team was able to secure victory in the match against PSS Sleman.

According to him, before this match the Persib squad had known PSS's characteristics in terms of ball possession, so they implemented a strategy to suppress Seto Nurdiantoro's squad.

"Alhamdulillah, we were able to win today's match. Before against Sleman, we already knew their characteristics in possession. But all players are committed, we must have two faces, be aggressive in defense and suppress them with possession," explained Jufriyanto.

"I think the first half was successful. I applaud the struggle of all the players while defending. We can see, Sleman in the first half may only have one chance. In the second half, although under pressure, we can maintain the victory," he continued.

In this match Persib Bandung was able to take a quick lead in the 7th minute through Da Silva and the Maung Bandung squad were able to maintain the victory until the match ended so that they rose to 9th place in the Indonesian Liga 1 standings with a score of 7 points from five matches.
