BRI Successfully Raises IDR 702 Billion Fee Based Income From BriLink Agent Contribution
JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) is said to have succeeded in recording fee-based income (FBI) of Rp.702.7 billion from the performance of 750,000 BriLink agents throughout Indonesia at the end of the second quarter of 2022.
BRI Director of Networks and Services Andrijanto revealed that this figure grew by around 13 percent year on year (yoy) compared to the same period in 2021. According to Andrijanto, this slick score also contributed to the company's financial performance during the first half of 2022, which managed to achieve a net profit of IDR 24.8 trillion.
"In terms of liabilities, the presence of BRILink agents is also able to contribute low-cost funds (CASA) of Rp. 18.9 trillion or grew 24 percent yoy," he said in a press statement quoted on Friday, August 19.
Andrijanto added, the presence of more than half a million BRILink agents throughout Indonesia was able to record 529 million transactions in six months.
"This is inseparable from the company's strategy to continue to increase productivity, including by enriching transaction features and optimizing community empowerment programs," he said
Then, the largest national bank is also said to have utilized big data to obtain a comprehensive market picture. Andrijanto said, this system supports the assessment of BRILink Agents, mapping of potential business areas to be managed including location points that are prospects for services with an agency approach.
"We will continue to encourage the role of agents to be able to optimize the synergy of the umi corner platform and the pawn platform as well, so that the presence of this agent has a real impact on ultra micro business actors in Indonesia," he concluded.
