Employees Of Cooperative Distributing 1 Kg Of Cannabis In Cirebon Arrested

CIREBON - Cirebon City Police, West Java, arrested a cooperative employee for distributing narcotics of more than one kilogram of marijuana.

"The suspect we arrested has the initials MZ, he is an employee of the cooperative," said Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 18.

Fahri said that the suspect MZ was a marijuana dealer where the officers seized more than 1 kilogram of dried marijuana from the suspect's hands.

According to him, the marijuana was wrapped in large plastic weighing 1.2 kilograms and then there were 20 packages of dried marijuana that had been wrapped in medium-sized plastic ready to be distributed.

"From his confession, the suspect circulated narcotics for two weeks before he was finally caught," he said.

Fahri added that the narcotics trafficking case was uncovered after his party received a report from one of the expedition services because he was suspicious of the contents in the package.

After the officers checked the contents of the package, he explained, it turned out to be dried marijuana and after being investigated the package came from Jamblang District, Cirebon Regency.

"We checked and it turned out that the package belonged to the suspect MZ, which was sold and sent through an expedition service," he said.

The dried marijuana, said Fahri, was obtained by the perpetrator from someone who is currently on the wanted list (DPO).

Furthermore, the perpetrators along with the evidence were taken to the Cirebon Police Narcotics Investigation Unit for further examination and investigation.

"We threaten the perpetrators with Article 111 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) of the RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum imprisonment of life," he said.
