Illegal Oil Warehouse Burns, Jambi Police Hunt Owner And Check Middle Officers Investigate Involvement

JAMBI - Jambi Police are currently investigating a middle-ranking officer (pamen) regarding the illegal oil warehouse fire in Jambi City on Monday, August 15.

The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Mulia Prianto, confirmed this when confirmed. A Jambi Regional Police officer with the rank of Pamen is currently undergoing an examination at the Jambi Regional Police Propam.

"Currently, the Jambi Regional Police Propam is examining one of the Pamen related to the burning of an illegal oil warehouse at Simpang Rimbo and is hunting for the warehouse owner," he said in Jambi, Antara, Thursday, August 18.

In addition, he explained that the police are currently hunting for the owner of the illegal oil warehouse. "The owner of the warehouse will continue to be hunted," he said.

He ensured that the Jambi Regional Police Chief would take firm action if there were personnel involved in illegal oil. "The Jambi Regional Police Chief will take firm action if there are personnel involved in this illegal oil and will enforce the law, be it a code of ethics or a criminal code," he said.

After the explosion and fire of the illegal oil warehouse, the Jambi Regional Police carried out an operation to control the illegal oil warehouse in this area.

Mulia explained that the Jambi Police Ditreskrimsus Team took action against 18 oil warehouses spread across the cities of Jambi, Muarojambi, Sarolangun, Muaro Bungo, and Merangin.

"The results obtained by the team in the field found 18 illegal oil warehouses in Jambi City, two Muaro Jambi warehouses, one warehouse in Merangin, one in Sarolangun, and one warehouse in Bungo," he explained.
