In The City Of Heroes, There Are Still Veterans' Homes That Are Unfit For Habitation, The City Government Is Ready To Repair Them

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government is ready to repair the homes of veterans whose conditions are no longer livable in the City of Heroes, East Java.

"We use the regional budget. God willing, we will achieve the goal of seizing independence from veterans. We will give it as much as possible, so that life can be happier," said Mayor Eri Cahyadi in Surabaya, Wednesday, August 17.

Eri explained that the repair of the veterans' houses was a form of concern and attention from the Surabaya City Government.

He also promised to visit the homes of veterans in Surabaya after holding a commemoration ceremony for the 77th Indonesian Independence Day.

The mayor expressed his gratitude to the veterans who fought for independence.

According to him, without the struggle of the veterans, the people of Surabaya will not be able to enjoy a happy life as it is today.

"Surabaya became what it is today not because of our actions and behavior, but Surabaya can become great like this because of the prayers of the veterans," he said quoted from Antara.

Eri said the position as mayor is meaningless if at this time there are still national heroes who are still experiencing difficulties in their lives.

"If it still happens in the city of Surabaya, I apologize profusely. God willing, I will make sure, I will visit the homes of veterans one by one," said Eri.
