Other Inmates Are Studying, One Prisoner In Lhoksukon North Aceh Escapes After Damage To Ceiling And Barbed Wire
BANDA ACEH - Head of the Class IIB Lhoksukon Correctional Institution (Lapas), North Aceh Regency, Yusnaidi stated that an inmate or inmate of a narcotics crime case escaped.
The escaped prisoner had the initials AY (32), a resident of Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh Regency.
"The inmate escaped by damaging the ceiling and barbed wire, then jumping over the back wall of the prison, Monday (15/8), at around 12.30 WIB," said Yusnaidi as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 16.
Yusnaidi said the inmates who fled were residents of Block A3. He has just served his sentence after being sentenced to eight years in prison.
When the narcotics prisoner fled, said Yusnaidi, the other inmates were studying the Koran. The recitation is a routine religious agenda for the Class IIB Lhoksukon prison.
Yusnaidi said that his party had reported the incident to the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Aceh Province and the North Aceh Police.
"Our officers are still in the field looking for the escaped convict. We have also coordinated with the police to arrest the inmates who escaped," said Yusnaidi.
