Deputy Governor Riza Reminds Residents To Maintain Harmony After Neighbors Build Walls In Front Of Houses Incident

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria reminded all residents to maintain harmony in life after the neighbor incident building a wall in front of the house in East Jakarta.

"This is also an incident that we (DKI Provincial Government) hope will not happen again. Let's live everywhere, including the city of Jakarta, we must take care of each other, we must respect each other, especially our close neighbors," said Riza as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 15.

Regarding the incident on Jalan Gading Raya, Pisangan Timur sub-district, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, which was caused by the long-standing conflict between the two families, Riza also reminded that one should not be selfish when living as neighbors.

"Let's not think about ourselves, our own families, but it's much more important to think about our environment and neighbors. Unite is compact and harmonious," said Riza.

Riza also said that the conflict between the two families had been carried out by mediation efforts although they had not found a solution, but in the end the family whose house was walled decided to move and sell the house.

"It was attempted that mediation has not been completed, but the person concerned finally moved house and the house was sold there," said Riza.

To note, there was a dispute between neighbors, namely Anisa's family and Widya's family which led to the closure of the access road to Anisa's house on Jalan Gading Raya, Pisangan Timur, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

The conflict between the two families has been going on for a long time. Widya built a wall right in front of Anisa's house which then became crowded on social media, because the wall that was built closed access to and from Anisa's family.

Anisa's family (40) whose house is closed by a wall on Jalan Gading Raya, Pisangan Timur Village, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, decided to move house.

The Head of Pulogadung Sub-district, Syafrudin Chandra, said that the decision to move house came from Anisa's family after the mediation process carried out by both the police and the sub-district had not come to light.

"The plan is to move on August 14, 2022," said Syafrudin Chandra.

Chandra said Anisa's family plans to move to the Cipinang Sodong area, Cipinang Village.

"The ones in Pisangan Timur are their own houses," said Chandra.
