Frustrated By A Lot Of Debt, Tangerang Residents Hang Themselves Above The Cilacap Cemetery
CILACAP - The residents of Kuripan Village were shocked by the discovery of a man hanging himself from a frangipani tree, to be precise at the Rawa Bakung tomb, Cilacap, Sunday, August 14.
Head of Public Relations of the Cilacap Police, Iptu Gatot Tri Hartanto, said the incident was first discovered by a resident who was visiting the grave. Around 15.30 WIB.
“While on a pilgrimage, residents saw a man already in a position hanging on a frangipani tree. Residents immediately contacted Soimin, Karsim, and Suyono to check the scene.” said Iptu Gatot in a written statement, Sunday night, August 12.
Gatot continued, at around 16.30 WIB the body was successfully removed by medical officers from the Hamada Kuripan Clinic which was witnessed directly by members of the Kesugihan Police and village officials.
"We managed to bring the body down at around 16.30, the Head of the Hamada Kuripan Clinic also stated that the victim had died more than 6 hours ago and there were no signs of violence. Semen came out of his genitals and snot came out of his nose," said Gatot.
It was confirmed that the body had the initials S, a man from the West Hitonan Village, West Paloloan District, Tangerang Regency.
"According to the victim's brother's statement, S ended his life because he was frustrated that he had a lot of debt. The body has been handed over to his family," concluded Gatot.
