He Fainted And Was Treated, Finally The Suspect In The Construction Of The West Pasaman Hospital Was Arrested
JAKARTA - The West Pasaman Prosecutor's Office, West Sumatra, detained the former Director of the Hospital with the initials BS in connection with the alleged corruption case in the construction of the hospital for the 2018-2020 fiscal year.
Kajari Pasaman Barat, Ginanjar Cahya Permana through Section Head (Kasi) Intel Elianto and Head of Special Crimes Andi Suryadi at Simpang Empat, said BS is a Budget User and Commitment Making Officer in the construction of the hospital.
"Previously, BS had been named a suspect on July 28, 2022," he said, Friday, August 12, quoted from Antara.
At that time, the suspect should have been arrested immediately. However, as soon as the medical examination was completed and declared healthy, the suspect fainted.
It happened when BS was about to be taken to be deposited at the West Pasaman Police Rutan. BS was then taken to the Ibn Sina Hospital for intensive care.
Then after undergoing treatment for seven days and being declared healthy, investigators again summoned the suspect to be re-examined as a suspect on Friday (12/8).
After being investigated as a suspect at 17.00 WIB, the suspect was finally arrested and entrusted to the West Pasaman Police detention house.
He explained that the detention of the suspect was a continuation of the development of the investigation in the construction of the West Pasaman Hospital whose budget was sourced from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) and the 2018-2020 Regional Budget (APBD) with a contract value of Rp. 134,859,961,000.
Based on the results of the audit by technical experts, the physical loss caused by the mark up and the lack of work volume was found to be Rp. 20 billion and the investigators had met two pieces of evidence that were sufficient for their involvement in the construction of the hospital.
Prior to detention, the suspect was subjected to a medical examination and a COVID-19 swab test. After being declared healthy and negative for COVID-19, they were immediately delivered and entrusted to the West Pasaman Police Rutan for the next 20 days.
So far, the West Pasaman District Attorney has named seven suspects in the construction of the hospital.
The seven suspects are Commitment Making Officer (PPK) initials NI, liaison or third party initials HM, Director of PT MAM Energindo initials AA, Activity Budget Use or former Director of RSUD who is also Commitment Making Officer (PPK) initials Y, BS, HW and Director of Construction Management initials MY.
