Regent Involves Local Entrepreneurs To Build Jayawijaya Papua
WAMENA - The Jayawijaya Regency Government, Papua, ensures the involvement of local entrepreneurs in developing the area through the provision of government projects.
Jayawijaya Regent Jhon Richard Banua dismissed the assumption that the government did not pay attention to local businessmen.
"Since I and the deputy lead, if we talk about 80-90 percent of our younger siblings who work, it's a fact and what they say is only one billion and below or 2 billion is not true," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 11.
Even some of the work above from Rp9 billion was also carried out by a native Jayawijaya entrepreneur. For example, the Jayawijaya Education Office was Rp. 14 billion, he said.
"This year there are several activities with a project value of Rp. 10 billion, some of which are Rp. 9 billion, the sons of the region are working on," he said.
Jhon asked the original Papuan contractors who handled the project to carry out the work while still paying attention to the quality or quality of the work.
"We, the government, hope that there is no term for unfinished work, all must be completed, so if something is not completed and there are no problems, if we year we will not provide activities the following year," he said.
The Regent hoped that Jayawijaya's fellow entrepreneurs would not restrict other entrepreneurs from entering certain districts.
"We want to divide the activities so that all can be evenly distributed. I have also given the rights to the procurement service unit (ULP).
