23 Political Parties Have Registered For The 2024 Election To The KPU From A Total Of 42 Political Parties Activities
JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) stated that as many as 23 political parties have submitted registration documents until the 11th day of the registration stage on August 11, 2022.
"Since the duration of August 10-14, every time registration hours close, we are committed to conveying information on developments. Today, Thursday, August 11, 2022, 23 political parties have registered with the KPU as candidates for the 2024 General Election," said KPU member August Mellaz as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 11th.
Of the 42 national political parties that have activated Sipol accounts, he said, there are 23 political parties that have registered with the KPU.
"Until August 14, 2022, when registration closes, it is recorded in the KPU confirmation that there are 10 political parties that will register," he said.
The KPU is still waiting for registration confirmation from the remaining political parties holding Sipol accounts.
"Until now, the KPU RI has not received a registration confirmation," he said.
According to KPU member Idham Holik, 17 political parties have declared their documents complete and can be registered. Meanwhile, 6 of the 23 political parties that have registered have not yet completed their registration documents.
Thus, said Idham Holik, 23 political parties have registered. A total of 17 political parties have declared their documents complete and 6 political parties are currently completing their documents.
"We give the opportunity until the deadline for registration," said Idham.
On Thursday (11/8), he continued, there was one political party that registered with the KPU, namely the People's Sovereignty Party. The next day, six political parties will register on Friday (12/8).
