At Ancol Later, Anies Delivers Final National Speech On The 77th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia As Governor Of DKI

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will deliver a national speech for the last time in his position as Governor of DKI Jakarta on the upcoming 77th Indonesian Independence Day.

This national speech will be delivered during the celebration of the Jakarta Melayu Festival (JMF) at the Beach City Entertainment Center, Ancol Dreamland, North Jakarta.

In addition to delivering a national speech, Anies will also give awards to a number of parties deemed instrumental in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

These parties include health workers, ambulance drivers, corpse recovery officers, funeral workers, and epidemiologists.

"The award will be handed over directly by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, who will also give a national speech at the highlight of the 2022 Jakarta Malay Festival," said JMF producer Geisz Chalifah in a statement, Thursday, August 11.

Geisz said that this JMF event was organized by Gita Cinta Production for the 10th time. This Malay cultural performance, which is synonymous with music concerts, is an annual event that should be held every year.

However, the event was postponed for the past two years due to social restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

JMF 2022 carries the theme Teurimong Geunaseh. Teurimong geunaseh is taken from the Acehnese language which means thank you, addressed to those who are at the forefront when dealing with COVID-19 in Indonesia, especially Jakarta.

"This activity is not only an event for Malay music concerts but also to give appreciation to those who have contributed to the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Jakarta area in particular and Indonesia in general," he added.
