Visit Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut, PPU Regency Government Learns To Build Environmentally Friendly Industrial Estate At IKN
SURABAYA - PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER) has arrived from the ranks of the North Panajam Paser Regency Government (PPU).
The group, which was led directly by the Acting Regent of PPU Hamdam, was intended to study the management and development of environmentally friendly industrial estates.
"I would like to thank SIER for receiving us well. We would like to share or exchange ideas on how to develop an environmentally friendly industrial area," said Hamdam, met after the audience at the SIER guesthouse, Wednesday, August 10.
During the meeting, Hamdam was accompanied by his subordinates, including the Head of the Village Community Empowerment Service, Saidin, the Head of the Agriculture Service, Mulyono, and the Head of the Health Service, Grace M.
The PPU Regency Government delegation was met directly by the Acting President Director of PT SIER Silvester Budi Agung, Director of Operations Didik Prasetiyono, Head of SIER Division Yogi Widi Kurniawan; and Fitrina Kusuma Dewi, Corporate Secretary of PT SIER.
According to Hamdam, SIER has proven to be a modern and rapidly growing industrial estate company owned by the government. Since its establishment in 1974, it has continued to grow and can routinely provide local revenue in the form of dividends.
"This SIER is owned by the East Java Provincial Government, Surabaya City Government and PT Danareksa BUMN, it is fitting for us as the PPU Regency Government to study here (SIER, ed)," he said.
Hamdam said the PPU Regency Government currently does not have an industrial area and no large industry has been established, currently only small home-scale industries. For this reason, with the stipulation of part of the PPU area as the State Capital (IKN), it becomes a great opportunity for PPU to establish an industrial area.
"We have prepared what is called an industrial area designation. We call it a designation because the area does not belong to us. It covers an area of 9 thousand hectares and we have expanded it to 12 thousand hectares. environmentally friendly," he said.
Currently, he continued, the PPU Regency Government is preparing a good spatial plan. This is important so that in the future the spatial planning will not complicate the PPU Regency Government.
"About when this industrial area will be established? We cannot be sure. Because of course we will see what the dynamics are like. We have to prepare many regulations and of course according to the direction of the central government IKN master plan. But for us the sooner the better," he said.
In PPU, said Hamdam, there is a lot of potential. Such as plantations, mining, agriculture and petroleum. However, all of this potential has not been fully exploited. Even PAD PPU is very small, less than Rp. 100 billion.
"Therefore, with the central government's decision to place the national capital in the PPU area, we welcome and prepare the existing potentials. Such as making industrial areas that can provide added value to the region," he said.
Meanwhile, Director of Operations of PT SIER, Didik Prasetiyono, expressed his appreciation to the ranks of the PPU Regency Government who had visited SIER. His party is ready to provide inputs so that the PPU will establish an industrial area.
"PPU has a lot of potential, especially if it is included in the IKN area. Of course this potential must be carefully prepared. Building an industrial area with long-term planning that has an integrated supply chain, moreover, the PPU Regency Government wants a green industrial area that uses environmentally friendly and renewable uses," he said.
"Almost 50 years after SIER was established, we didn't expect the city to grow so fast. The location of the SIER industrial area, which used to be the outskirts of the city, now grows with densely populated settlements. That is our initial input if PPU makes an industrial area. The master plan of the city must be right," he continued.
SIER currently, said Didik, continues to develop industrial areas in the Pasuruan Regency area.
"The expansion of the industrial area in PIER (Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang) is a commitment to the sustainability of the company's growth as well as to encourage regional economic growth. It is our obligation to share strategies for PPU and other local governments if they want to establish industrial areas in their regions," he said.
