Serena Williams admits that she wants to focus on her role as the mother of her daughter Olympia, who was born in September 2017. "I really enjoy playing tennis, but I have to retire. I have to focus on being a mother," she wrote.

"I never liked the word retirement. I think this is a transition. Maybe the right word to describe what I'm doing is change," said Serena.
