Mahfud MD Makes Sure The Government Continues To Monitor The Case Of The Murder Of Brigadier J Until It's Complete
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD stated that the Government through the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs would continue to oversee the investigation into the death of Brigadier Yoshua Hutabarat or Brigadier J until it was completed.
"The government through the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs will continue to oversee this case," Mahfud said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 9.
After escorting the determination of the suspects, he said, the government through the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs would escort the Prosecutor's Office in building legal construction, then brought them to court with serious charges and prosecutions.
"Hopefully it won't take too long and it will be brought to court with serious charges and prosecutions," said Mahfud.
In addition, the Head of Kompolnas also stated that his party would encourage the Prosecutor's Office to have the same enthusiasm as the Police in taking professional action on the case of Brigadier J's death.
"The prosecutor must be really professional in handling this case with a strong legal construction, so that it will be easier for the court and the public to understand this case as an effort to enforce law and justice," he said.
In addition, Mahfud asked Brigadier J's family to remain patient and continue to give confidence to law enforcement agencies, such as the Police, the Prosecutor's Office, and the Court in completing the investigation of this case.
"I always hear statements from the victim's family, especially his father, who is full of hope for the blessings of God, so that this case can be opened and resolved fairly. Continue to hope in God's justice, so that it becomes a guideline for efforts to uphold human justice," he said.
In the case of the shooting of Brigadier J, there were a total of 4 suspects, namely Bharada E, Brigadier RR, K and Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Ferdy Sambo allegedly gave orders related to the shooting of Brigadier J.
Inspector General Ferdy Sambo allegedly used a firearm belonging to Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J to shoot at the wall several times. The shooting at the wall with Brigadier J's pistol was carried out to make it appear as if a shootout took place, aka a shootout, as reported earlier at the South Jakarta Metro Police.
"That there were no facts about shooting events as reported, I repeat, there were no facts about shooting incidents as reported earlier," said the National Police Chief in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 9.
The National Police's Bareskrim Team, according to the National Police Chief, found that what actually happened was the shooting of Brigadier J to death.
"What RE (Bharada E) did on the orders of brother FS (Ferdy Sambo," said the National Police Chief.
