Kissing The Red And White Flag, 15 Ex-Members Of The Islamiyah Network In East Java Pledge Allegiance To The Unitary State Of The Republic Of Indonesia In Front Of Densus 88

SURABAYA - As many as 15 former members of the Islamiyah Network (JI) from East Java renounced their allegiance and pledged allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). Dozens of people declared that they returned to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia of their own volition and desire.

This activity was witnessed directly by the Deputy Chief of the East Java Police Brigadier General Slamet Hadi Supraptoyo, the Directorate of Identification and Social Affairs (Idensos) of Densus 88 Anti-terror Brigadier General Arif Makhfudihart, East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elistianto Dardak and representatives of Kodam V Brawiyaya.

"By Allah, I swear one oath to renounce allegiance to the leadership of Jamaah Islamiyah and the Jamaah Islamiyah organization because it is against the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said the former JI member while reading his pledge, at the East Java Governor's office on Jalan Pahlawan Surabaya, Monday, August 8, 2022.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of East Java, Emil Elistianto Dardak, said that the pledge of allegiance is a form of maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia from the hands of radicalism in the name of religion.

"We believe in the best efforts to prevent ideas that are contrary to the principles of our country, but also have the potential to create security in order, security, peace in society," said Emil.
