Asking The Mayor To Build Public Spaces For Young People, Ridwan Kamil: Make Creative Buildings So From Expression To Economy
SUMBAR - Governor of West Java (Jabar) Ridwan Kamil considers the importance of public space for young people to express. He also asked the mayor to provide it. Ridwan Kamil's request was conveyed when he was a speaker at the Youth City Changers (YCC) Talkshow at the Bagindo Aziz Chan Youth Center Building, Padang City, West Sumatra (West Sumatra). "Young people in the community are the seeds of the future, whose cities we often understand do not provide spaces for aspirations so that their aspirations are taken," said Ridwan Kamil in his statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, August 8.
YCC is one of the activities in the 2022 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Indonesian City Government Association (Apeksi). Ridwan Kamil said that young people who are active in the community have the potential to have a bright future. That's because they have space to be creative and express themselves. "Once again, my message to all mayors is, provide good public spaces, let young people be creative, express themselves. Then, build creative buildings so that from expression to economy. If they can prosper from the economy, the cities will be extraordinary," he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan who was present at YCC said that the younger generation must be productive and have a "road map" for a bright future. only think for the country, but now is the time for us to attack the global and international," said Zulkifli.
"Our message to young people is to live a productive life, make a work plan, what 'road map' do you want, work hard, and I believe the future of Indonesia is in your hands," he said.
