Trade Minister Zulhas: This Week We Flood 1,000-3,000 Tons Of Oil To Papua And Maluku In 1 Month
JAKARTA - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan has confirmed that he will flood eastern Indonesia, namely Papua and Maluku, with simple packaged bulk cooking oil or Oilita this week.
"Next week we will ship the people's packaged cooking oil of the Oilita brand to Papua and Maluku. We will flood 1,000-3,000 tons in one month at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter," he said in a statement quoted on Monday, August 8.
Zulhas as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, said that if this was done, all over Indonesia, bulk cooking oil and cooking oil of the Oilita brand would be available with a maximum price of Rp. 14,000 per liter.
For this reason, Zulhas also ensures the commitment of producers in maintaining the availability and smooth distribution of cooking oil. He paid a visit to the cooking oil producer, PT Incasi Raya in Padang, West Sumatra on Sunday, August 7.
"I would like to thank PT Incasi Raya which has committed to selling cooking oil according to HET (highest retail price). For people's packaged cooking oil, the Oilita brand is still in the process of being circulated," said Zulhas.
Zulhas said, there are two types of cooking oil with premium packaging brands and bulk cooking oil. Bulk cooking oil is sold at the highest according to the HET of Rp. 14,000 per liter.
"This HET also applies to people's packaged cooking oil using the Oilita brand," he said.
Regarding fresh fruit bunches (FFB), Zulhas said, the government has implemented several policies. Among them by delaying the export levy of 200 dollars.
"This means that in the absence of levies, prices for farmers can increase. It is hoped that by the end of August the price of FFB will be above Rp. 2,000 per kg. Thus, when the harvest season is over, oil palm farmers will benefit," he said.
On the other hand, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan also wants entrepreneurs to continue to make profits. However, business actors must continue to carry out their obligations by meeting domestic cooking oil needs in accordance with the stipulated domestic market obligation (DMO).
"To maintain exports, the Government has also increased the export multiplier number to 9 times and the packaging incentive is 1.3-1.5 from the DMO amount. I hope that by the end of August the stock in the CPO tanks will be distributed and changed soon so that they can buy palm oil from farmers for processing. again," he said.
