Social Minister Risma Says The Condition Of Middle School Students Victims Of Sexual Violence In Pati Has Improved
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini conveyed that a junior high school student with the initials N (15) at Soewondo Hospital, Pati, Central Java who was a victim of sexual violence, is now recovering.
"His condition is better, healthier and stronger, as well as his psychological condition," said Tri Rismaharini quoting Antara, Sunday, August 7.
The Minister of Social Affairs said that the victim was sexually assaulted by someone she knew through social media.
The Minister of Social Affairs also said that his ministry continues to monitor various social problems in the community as an effort to respond quickly to social problems in the community.
"Every day at the Ministry of Social Affairs there is media scanning. When I got the news, I came," he said.
He said it is important to protect children so that the same case does not happen in other places and to anyone.
"In some cases I went in (handled it) so it wouldn't happen again, especially our children can learn so that the same thing doesn't happen to him. So it's not easy to be teased, not easy to seduce, because they have to think about the future," he said.
Social Minister Risma conveyed a message to the younger generation to trust and be closer to parents, especially mothers, compared to social media.
However, Social Minister Risma also admits that there are mothers or parents who cannot keep up with the times.
"But you (the younger generation) must know that he is your parent. So you must respect and trust your mother and father," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Center Margo Laras Pati explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs provided assistance to N in the form of basic needs and nutrition worth Rp. 7.7 million.
The Ministry of Social Affairs will also provide entrepreneurial assistance in the form of a grocery store to her mother.
Mentoring N during the trial process was also escorted by the Ministry of Social Affairs. During the mentoring process, a safe house is also provided.
