JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno said that the state of democracy in Indonesia has matured through various innovations. One of the innovations when he joined the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno are a pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2019 General Election (Pemilu) who competed against the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) with the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin.
According to Sandiaga Uno, being part of the cabinet under Jokowi is an innovation that shows togetherness in Indonesian politics.
Sandiaga also sees that the press has a very big role in maintaining democracy, especially in ensuring that democracy in Indonesia is a unifying democracy.
"Indeed, sometimes it is impossible for democracy to unite? However, we have proven it. We just have to fix our narratives," said Sandiaga.
Sandiaga believes that the Indonesian people can go through the stages of the 2024 General Election with a spirit of togetherness.
