Denies Jealousy, Johnny Depp: Ellen Barkin Wants More Than Romance
JAKARTA - The old love story between Johnny Depp and Ellen Barkin was brought up again when Ellen became a witness in the trial between Depp and Amber Heard. Ellen Barkin's statement is in court documents that were recently opened in the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in 2019.
Ellen Barkin was opposite Johnny Depp in the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998). Then they had a romantic relationship and walked for a while. In the document notes, Ellen said that her romantic relationship with Johnny Depp dates back to 1994.
When having sex for the first time, the 68-year-old actress said Johnny Depp gave her a sedative so she could start making love comfortably. Ellen Barkin even mentioned that she was given Quaalude before she started making love.
In her statement, Ellen Barkin said that Johnny Depp is a possessive type of man. Ellen Barkin later explained that her love affair ended after Johnny Depp threw a bottle of wine at her in a hotel room.
In addition to drugs, Ellen Barkin said that Johnny Depp was very jealous and controlled his life.
"Depp is just a jealous guy and rules other people's lives like, 'Where are you going?', 'Who are you going with?', or 'What are you doing?'," claims Ellen Barkin.
Johnny Depp denied Ellen Barkin's claims. "I'm sure Ellen wants more than just a romance. She wants something decent and I don't want that," Johnny Depp said at London's High Court.
