Prosecutor Calls 25,000 Members Of Quotex's Bodong Investment List After Being Invited By Doni Salmanan

BANDUNG - The prosecutor said there were around 25,000 people who signed up to play investing in the Quotex application from the invitation of Doni Salmanan who was a defendant in an investment fraud case.

According to the prosecutor, tens of thousands of people signed up for the Quotex application via a link on Salmanan's YouTube account because they were attracted by the invitation of the young man nicknamed Crazy Rich Soreang.

"So that the defendant can take advantage of everyone who registers and deposits his money in Quotex," said the prosecutor led by Romlah at the Bale Bandung Court, Bandung Regency, West Java, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 4.

Even so, according to the Prosecutor, so far there are as many as 142 people who have become victims of the investment fraud case based on reports through the complaint post.

Based on the calculations of accounting experts, according to him, there was a total loss of Rp. 24,366,695,782 suffered by the 142 victims.

Romlah explained, Quotex is a digital platform for brokers who do not have a license and are not registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency.

In addition, he said, the transaction activity at Quotex is not an investment, but a transaction using financial products whose transaction mechanism is similar to gambling.

So, according to him, the public who registered as investment players at Quotex through the link provided by the defendant all suffered losses after following the method given by the defendant.

"Because it is known that in the transaction mechanism at Quotex there is fraud where at certain minutes before the final decision the price is manipulated to make the player's position wrong and members lose money," he said.
