Prediction Of Heavy Rain In Bengkulu For The Next 3 Days, BMKG Asks Residents To Beware Of Potential Hydrometeorological Disasters

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) stated that moderate to heavy rain will occur in the Bengkulu Province in the next few days.

Head of BMKG Data and Information Anang Anwar said the rain that had occurred since last night was caused by the circulation of the wind. Then the area of low air pressure that occurs in the Indian Ocean, the supply of water vapor because at this time the sea surface temperature is warmer than the average.

"The rain is of moderate to heavy intensity accompanied by lightning and strong winds of short duration," said Anang in Bengkulu City, Antara, Thursday, August 4.

He explained that in the atmosphere of the Bengkulu region, the potential for the formation of rain clouds was evenly distributed in almost all areas of Bengkulu Province.

Therefore, he appealed to the entire community to be aware of potential hydrometeorological disasters such as floods, landslides and others.

The following areas in Bengkulu Province will experience rain in the future, namely North Bengkulu Regency, Enggano Island, Seluma Regency, Central Bengkulu Regency.

South Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu City, Kaur Regency, Mukomuko Regency, Lebong Regency, Rejang Lebong Regency and Kepahiang Regency.
