KUPANG - Head of the East Nusa Tenggara Province Transportation Service Isyak Nuka said sea transportation services in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency will continue to run normally, regardless of the demonstrations carried out by tourism business actors.
"According to the report from the Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) of Labuan Bajo, shipping activities will continue as normal," said Isyak Nuka, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 2.
Isyak Nuka said this was related to the impact of demonstrations carried out by tourism business actors in Labuan Bajo regarding the increase in entrance fees to Komodo Island and Rinca Island.
According to him, according to reports from the Labuan Bajo port authority, shipping permits will still be granted to tourist ships and ASDP's who want to make voyages from Labuan Bajo.
He explained that the NTT Provincial Government had anticipated by preparing ASDP and Pelni ships to transport tourists who wanted to travel to Komodo and Rinca Islands.
"We have also anticipated in the form of preparing incidental permits if things are very important to help transport tourists to tourist sites," said Isyak.
He also explained that the Labuan Bajo port authority still provides sailing permits for tourist ships so that services for tourists are not disrupted.
Isyak Nuka hopes that the situation in Labuan Bajo will return to normal soon so that tourism services for tourists who come to visit Labuan Bajo can continue as before.
Meanwhile, flight activities at Komodo Airport are also running normally, even the local government has prepared government-owned buses to transport passengers to the hotel.
