Hanura's Presidential Candidate: High Nationalism And Oesman Sapta Odang .'s Choice

JAKARTA - Hanura is ready to support a presidential candidate who has a high nationalism attitude. The final choice will be left to the General Chairperson, Oesman Sapta Odang.

"Hanura's political decision is to give full political support to candidates with high nationalism, protect Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, prioritize the interests of the nation and state," said Deputy Chairperson of the Hanura Party, Benny Rhamdani, in Jakarta, Monday, August 1.

He emphasized that regarding the presidential election (Pilpres) and Hanura's attitude in forming a coalition with any party, it had been submitted to Hanura's General Chair Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO).

"But Hanura's political decision rests with the general chairman, because he is given full prerogatives by the articles of association and by-laws," he stressed as quoted by Antara.

According to him, party cadres believe that the general chairman is not silent, but has communicated with various parties regarding the five-year contest.

He also emphasized that since the leadership of Mr. OSO, the condition of the party to the leadership at the regional level has become more stable, political work has become more motivated, all cadres have moved more and more motivated by the ideological spirit as conveyed by the general chairman.

Previously, the Hanura Party had completed the process of sending data as candidates for election to the KPU's online political party information system (Sipol) in Jakarta, Monday (1/8) at 13.00 WIB. Meanwhile, direct registration to the KPU RI will be held on August 8, 2022.
