PGN Builds 3,500 Gas Jars In Sekayu City, South Sumatra

JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) has built 3,500 household gas networks (Jargas) in Sekayu City, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra in 2022.

Acting Regent Musi Banyuasin (Muba) Apriyadi in Sekayu, Monday, August 1, said the construction of gas network infrastructure in Sekayu City has been carried out in stages since 2017.

"With the construction of the jargas this year, Sekayu's needs can be said to have been met," he said, quoted from Antara.

He added, after that, the district government will seek similar programs in other areas so that all Musi Banyuasin people can enjoy the household gas network.

Until now, the construction of the natural gas network and its supporting infrastructure for households continues to be carried out.

In 2017, there were 6,031 House Connections (SR) in Sekayu District, then in 2020 there will be an addition of 4,385 SR in Sekayu District, 2,995 SR in Sungai Lilin District and 782 SR in Bayung Lincir District.

Then in October 2020, 3,200 SRs were inventoried in Bayung Lincir Subdistrict, 4,500 SRs in Babat Supat Subdistrict, and 1,500 SRs in Tungkal Jaya Subdistrict.

In 2022, there will be 2,925 SR construction projects in Bayung Lincir District. Meanwhile, Sekayu City received an additional quota of 1,000 SR from PGN Palembang, and 2,500 SR from PGN Central, bringing the total construction of the Sekayu City gas network to 3,500 SR.
