The Body Wrapped In Duct Tape In Indramayu Turned Out To Be An Online Taxi Driver, The Family Said They Had Been In Bekasi
INDRAMAYU - Indramayu Police, West Java, stated that the body wrapped in duct tape was a victim of violent theft who was an online taxi driver by profession.
"This is known from the testimony of witnesses, especially the family," said Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Lukman Syarif in Indramayu, Antara, Sunday, July 31.
He then named the body wrapped in duct tape as Widodo (45).
According to him, the day before the incident, on Sunday, the victim's cell phone was still active and was in the vicinity of Bekasi.
On Monday, July 25, residents of Pekandangan Village, Indramayu Regency, found a body in an irrigation canal with duct tape on its hands, feet and face.
"The body is suspected of being the victim of a criminal act of theft of violence which resulted in the victim's death and/or murder," he said.
It was also explained by the Kasatreskrim of the Indramayu Police, AKP Fitran Romajimah, that the vehicle used by Widodo (45) was also taken away by the perpetrator whose identity had been pocketed.
"We are currently pursuing the perpetrators whose identities have been identified," he said.
