Twitter Tests One-Time Tweet Feature Can Upload Posts, Photos, Videos And GIFs Simultaneously

JAKARTA - Twitter is testing a new feature. In one upload, it is possible for Twitter users to upload photos, videos, GIFs, and posts with a maximum of 280 characters.

Until now, the micro blogging platform still limits its users from uploading posts with one type of media. Like Twitter with only text and photos, no videos or GIFs.

Twitter's efforts to innovate were first noticed through the upload of Alessandro Paluzzi's Twitter account with the address @alex193a. Paluzzi is a mobile developer. He demonstrated a test of Twitter's new feature by uploading photos, videos and GIFs in the same tweet on his Twitter account in April 2022.

Paluzzi can upload multiple media together, with a maximum limit of four media, consisting of photos, videos, and GIFs.

It turns out that this feature can be accessed by Paluzzi and a number of other Twitter users in the context of testing. Twitter only opens access to the feature to limited users.

"We're testing a new feature with select accounts for a limited time that allows people to combine up to four media assets into a single tweet, regardless of format," a Twitter representative said in a statement to TechCrunch.

The company revealed that the reason for testing the feature was because it wanted to see Twitter users interact using visuals in their Twitter uploads.

"With this test we hope to learn how people combine different media formats to express themselves more creatively on Twitter over 280 characters," the statement said.
