Ana De Armas Incarnates As Marilyn Monroe In Blonde

JAKARTA - A biopic of Marilyn Monroe is coming soon. Ana de Armas is believed to be the iconic actor seen in the first trailer for the film Blonde from Netflix.

The trailer, which was released on Thursday, July 28, features the life of Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe. The glitzy world of old Hollywood studded with paparazzi shone Monroe everywhere.

"Marilyn isn't here. Marilyn Monroe can only be seen on the screen,” Ana de Armas narrates in the trailer accompanied by the song Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend.

With a duration of two minutes, this film shows the life conflicts experienced by Hollywood icon, Marilyn Monroe. The trailer begins with Monroe having a conversation with a man.

Monroe was tired of playing Marilyn Monroe while she felt she was Norma Jeane. Ana de Armas displays her emotional side when she plays the icon.

Blonde is based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates of the same name. Besides de Armas, this film also stars Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody Xavier Samuel and Sara Paxton.

Reportedly this film received an NC-17 rating in the United States because there were many controversial parts in the film. The film Blonde will premiere at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.

Andrew Dominik's Blonde will be released on Netflix on September 23.
