Hundreds Of Kilograms Of Narcotics Arrested For 3 Months Destroyed By West Jakarta Police

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police have destroyed confiscated narcotics from May to July 2022. The destruction of narcotics is carried out using an incinerator machine capable of burning drug compounds.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pasma Royce said the destruction carried out consisted of various types of narcotics, ranging from methamphetamine, marijuana and ecstasy.

"The total narcotics destroyed consisted of 217 kilograms of marijuana, 15.2 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 11 thousand ecstasy pills," said Kombes Pasma, Thursday, July 28.

Kombes Pasma explained, from hundreds of kilograms and tens of thousands of items of illicit goods were secured from various suspects and crime scenes (TKP).

The first case occurred on May 18, when the police arrested a suspect with the initials RH with evidence in the form of 4 packages of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 3,292 grams or 3.2 kg and 11,022 ecstasy pills.

Then the second case, on May 21. Officers secured a suspect with the initials MF with evidence of 10 packages of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 2,426 grams or 2.4 kg and 1 package of marijuana with a gross weight of 72.31 grams.

The third case, on May 30, the police arrested 3 suspects with the initials DA, DP, AK with evidence of 3 packages of marijuana with a gross weight of 3,000 Grams or 3 Kg.

Then the fourth case, on June 7, 2022 the police arrested a suspect with the initials NP with evidence of 214 packages of marijuana with a gross weight of 214,026 grams or 214 kg.

The fifth case occurred on July 6, the police arrested 3 suspects with the initials YS, ID and NR with evidence of 9 packages of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 9,544 grams or 9.5 kg.

"The modus operandi of these five cases is inter-city network, cross-provincial network. Then there is also an international network, namely Malaysia - Indonesia," he said.
