Allegedly Drunk Tuak, Man In North Sumatra Died Into Abyss
MEDAN - A resident of Silima Kuta Village, Sitellu Tali Urang Julu District, Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatra named Riski Sembiring (40) was found dead falling into a ravine.
Parlilitan Police Chief, Iptu JH Turnip said the incident occurred right under the Jogia Bridge, Sion VII Village, Parlilitan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency (Humbahas)
Iptu Turnip explained that the incident began when the victim and a witness drank palm wine at a shop owned by the Tumanggor clan.
"Then at around 11 p.m., the victim and the witness returned to their boarding house in Bantoon Hamlet by riding their respective motorbikes. At the Jogia bridge, the witness saw the victim's motorbike lying on the edge of a cliff," said Iptu Turnip, Wednesday, July 27.
The witness then called the victim and there was no answer. In the early hours of Tuesday, July 26, the witness then reported the incident to the Parlilitan Police.
"After receiving the report, the officers then conducted a search with the village head and the community," he said.
At 11.30 WIB, the victim was found dead. The victim was found about 50 meters from the location of his motorbike.
"The victim was evacuated by being pulled using a rope. Then the victim was taken to the Parlilitan Health Center," he said.
