JAKARTA - The 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) visited Lonuo, a village located in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. Lonuo is included in the 50 best tourist villages in ADWI 2022 which is the flagship program of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf).

Gorontalo paragliding athlete, Septian hopes that Sandi's arrival can make tourism in Gorontalo, especially paragliding in Bukit Arang more widely known. "Bang Sandi is an innovative and energetic person. By entering the top 50 of ADWI, we hope to have an impact on Paragliding. For example, creating new pilots and improving facilities such as expanded roads and take-off points," he explained.
Septian explained, the contours of the hills owned by Bukit Charcoal are very suitable for paragliding. In addition to having a large landing area, the take off place at Bukit Arang can also accommodate four parachutes. Another advantage is that it can fly in three cardinal directions, namely west, east and south, making Bukit Arang worthy of being the location of the Paragliding championship.
"The arrival of Mr. Sandi has become a measuring point and is very influential for the continuity of Bukit Arang tourism in particular, generally in Gorontalo," he added.

Lonuo Tourism Village itself has qualified as the 50 best tourist villages through a rigorous selection by the ADWI 2022 jury team. There are seven categories of judging by the jury. Namely 1. Visitor attraction (natural and artificial, arts and culture), 2. Souvenirs (culinary, fashion, and craft), 3. Homestay, 4. Public toilets, 5. Digital and creative, 6. Cleanliness, Health, Safety , and Environment Sustainability (CHSE), and 7. Village Institutions. Later, Lonuo Tourism Village will become a participant in Tunas Kampung Berseri Astra (KBA). A village development and development program from Astra for one year.
