3 PLN Officials Were Dragged Into Corruption Cases, Examined By The AGO As Witnesses Today

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has examined three high-ranking officials of PT PLN (Persero) as witnesses related to the alleged corruption case in the 2016 Transmission Tower Procurement at PT PLN (Persero).

"The witness being examined, namely MD as General Manager of Pusmankom PT PLN Head Office for 2017-2022," said Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information (Kapuspenkum Kejagung) Ketut Sumedana in a statement received in Jakarta, Monday, July 25.

MD was examined in connection with the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the 2016 Transmission Tower Procurement at PT PLN (Persero).

In addition to MD, Sumedana revealed that the Investigating Prosecutor's Team of the Directorate of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office also examined two other witnesses from PT PLN (Persero).

The second and third witnesses examined by the Jampidsus AGO were the Head of the 2016 SCM Division of PT PLN Headquarters with the initial C, and the Head of the SCM Division of PT PLN Headquarters in 2021 with the initials NI.

The two witnesses were examined in connection with the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the 2016 Transmission Tower Procurement at PT PLN (Persero).

Previously, based on an Antara report, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin stated that the case of alleged corruption in the 2016 Transmission Tower Procurement at PT PLN (Persero) was up for investigation.

This alleged corruption case in the procurement of transmission towers went to investigation after the investigative team found facts of unlawful acts or abuse of authority, opportunity, or facilities available to him because of his position or position in the form of documents and electronic evidence.

"With the discovery of facts of unlawful acts or abuse of authority, opportunity, or facilities available to him because of his position or position, this case has been raised to the investigation stage," said Burhanuddin in a video received in Jakarta, Monday, July 25.
