Happy! Bangka Belitung Islands Become A Child-friendly Province In 2022

JAKARTA - The Bangka Belitung Islands are designated as a Child-Friendly Province (Provila) in 2022. This province is considered the most successful in protecting and providing children's growth and development rights.

"Alhamdulillah, Babel from eight provinces in Indonesia has been designated as a child-friendly province," said the Regional Secretary for the Babel Islands Provincial Government, Naziarto, Sunday, July 24, as quoted by Antara.

This year the PPPA Ministry awarded Provila awards to eight provinces, namely Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, Banten, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, Yogyakarta Special Region, and East Java.

"Babel's recognition and award as a Province is of course through a long evaluation process that is carried out objectively," he said.

The PPPA Ministry's KLA appreciation program for this local government is to support efforts to fulfill children's rights and special protection for children.

"This is an important part of realizing Child-friendly Indonesia (IDOLA) in 2030," he said.

This provila award is a special gift, especially for the children of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic who are facing various problems, such as parenting problems for children whose parents are positive for COVID-19 or who have died.

"We are very grateful, because after a long journey and a struggle that is certainly not easy, Babel has finally been named one of the eight provinces that received the KLA Award in the Provila Category," he said.
