Brigadier J's Re-Autopsy Plan: Police Forensic Team Departs For Jambi Tuesday 26 July

JAKARTA - The family considered that there were irregularities regarding the death of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J because there were a number of other injuries that were suspected to be not gunshot wounds to the body.

The process of exhumation or exhumation of bodies that have been buried in the case of the murder of Brigadier J or Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat will be carried out.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said the exhumation will take place on Wednesday, July 27, next. This was based on the results of coordination with various parties, namely Brigadier J's attorney and the Indonesian Forensic Medicine Association.

"Based on the results of the communication between the Director and the lawyer and the head of the Indonesian Forensic Medical Association and the forensic experts, it was decided that the exhumation in Jambi will be held on Wednesday tomorrow," said the Inspector General at the scene of the incident, Duren Tiga Police Complex, South Jakarta, Saturday, 23 July.

Dedi explained that the exhumation referred to the order of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Inspector General Dedi said, the National Police Chief asked for an exhumation process to be held as soon as possible.

Dedi added that Brigadier J's re-autopsy will involve parties who are experts in their fields. A re-autopsy is expected to strengthen the evidence in this case.

"The team will depart on Tuesday and Wednesday and an exhumation will be carried out by presenting the parties. Of course, those who are experts in their fields," he explained.

As is known, after being shot dead by Bharada E at the shelter house of the inactive Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Brigadier Joshua was immediately buried in his hometown, Jambi.

Meanwhile, the Dirtipidum Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Andi Rian, explained that the investigators and the Indonesian Forensic Doctors Association had held a virtual meeting regarding the further investigation process.

"Yesterday, investigators together with the Indonesian Forensic Doctors Association had a virtual meeting with the family. Because the family and the legal representative are in Jambi," Brigadier General Andi Rian told VOI, Saturday, July 23.

The meeting brought together a number of forensic experts from several universities.

"The results of the meeting were conveyed by forensic experts. Then they agreed to carry out an exhumation on Wednesday in Jambi," he concluded.
