East Java Prosecutor's Office Handles Corruption Cases Dominated By Bank Jatim
SURABAYA - Various performance achievements of the East Java High Court (Kejati) have colored the commemoration of the 62nd Anniversary of Bhakti Adhyaksa (HBA), Friday, July 22. One of them is uncovering corruption cases, which are dominated by Bank Jatim.
The head of the East Java Attorney General's Office (Kajati), Mia Amiati, said that the East Java Prosecutor's Office was conducting an investigation into 11 cases of alleged corruption in his area from January to June 21, 2022. Of the 11 cases, all of them were corruption cases related to Bank Jatim.
"Of the 11 cases at this level of investigation, 2 (two) cases have been resolved and 8 (eight) cases are still in process," said Mia, in the first semester of 2022 performance at the East Java Prosecutor's Office, Thursday, July 21.
Meanwhile, the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the East Java Prosecutor's Office, Riono Budisantoso, explained that of these 11 cases, there were cases of alleged corruption at the East Java Regional Development Bank. First, the case of alleged corruption in the working capital loan pattern of the Presidential Decree at the Batu Branch Regional Development Bank.
Second, continued Riono, the case of alleged corruption at the Regional Development Banka Jember Branch. And finally the case of alleged corruption in the provision of multipurpose financing for the Regional Development Bank of the Sidoarjo Sharia Branch.
"We have split the three cases into 11 cases. Two cases have already been processed for phase 2 or the submission of suspects and evidence," he said.
According to Riono, for handling corruption cases at the State Prosecutor's Office (Kejari), the ranks are quite good. Even so far, his party has recorded that there have been 63 investigations into corruption cases carried out by the Special Prosecutor's Office of the East Java Prosecutor's Office.
"Handling (investigation of corruption cases) in the Kejari ranks if you look at it one by one, so far there have been 63 investigations in the Prosecutor's Office," he said.
