JAKARTA - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has decided to temporarily deactivate two of his members following the death of Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. The other two are the Karo Paminal Propam Polri Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan and the South Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto.
"Tonight, the National Police Chief has decided to deactivate two people. The first is Karo Paminal Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan. The second is the South Jakarta Police Chief, Kombes Budhi Herdi," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday, July 20.
According to him, the deactivation of the two Polri officers was to maintain independence and transparency in the investigation of the bloody incident that killed Brigadier J in the police shooting case.
Later, to replace the position of the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, continued Dedi, the Metro Jaya Police Chief will immediately appoint him.
"The interim acting will be administratively appointed by the Regional Police Chief," continued Dedi.
This deactivation, continued Inspector General Dedi, at the same time ensuring that the investigation process that has been running so far can be accounted for.

For information, Brigadier J's family previously urged the Head of the Internal Security Bureau (Karo Paminal) Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan and the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto. Both are considered to have acted inappropriately.
For Karo Paminal, Brigadier J's family is considered to have violated the principle of justice. He is said to have forbade the family to open the casket of Brigadier J.
"Karo Paminal must be replaced because he is part of the problem and part of all the problems that arise because he is the one who sent the bodies and put pressure on the family to (forbid, ed) open the coffin," said Brigadier J's family attorney, Johnson Pandjaitan.

Another lawyer for Brigadier J's family, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak, said that Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto was deemed to have worked inappropriately with procedures to uncover this bloody incident.
