The Mastermind Of The Attack In Nduga Papua That Killed 10 People Apparently Ex-TNI Members Yotam Bugiangge And Kogoya
PAPUA - Yotam Bugiangge, a former TNI AD member in the 756/MWS Infantry Battalion with the rank of soldier two, reportedly joined an armed group in Papua led by Egianus Kogoya.
This group also attacked civilians in Nogoloid Village, Nduga Regency, Papua.
"It is true that there were reports of former TNI soldiers joining the KKB in attacking civilians, killing 10 people in Nogoloid, last Saturday," said Director of General Crimes at the Papua Police, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani in Jayapura Papua, Antara, Wednesday, July 20.
From the crime scene investigation carried out and witness statements, it was revealed that the two men, Kogoya and Bugiangge, were the masterminds of the attack.
"Egianus Kogoya and Yotam Bugiangge have joined forces and jointly attacked civilians," said Rahmadani.
On Saturday, armed groups in Papua opened fire on and tortured civilians in Nogolait Village, killing 10 people and injuring two others.
The people who died were Yulius Watu, Hubertus Goti, Daeng Marannu, Taufan Amir, Johan, Alex, Yuda Nurusingga, Nasjen, Mahmut Ismain, and Eliaser Baner. Meanwhile, the injured were Sudirman and Hasdin.
On Monday, July 17, the community found a victim with the identity of Roy Manampiring whose body could only be moved Wednesday (20/7) to the Kenyam Health Center, Nduga Regency.
Before escaping, Bugiangge served in Rifle Company C in Senggi, Keerom Regency, Papua. He fled while on guard duty on December 17, 2021, carrying an organic TNI weapon, the SS1 V1 5.56 mm caliber made by PT Pindad (Persero).
