Director Surprised To Know Extraordinary Attorney Woo Gets Positive Response
JAKARTA - Extraordinary Attorney Woo is one of the most talked about Korean dramas. In its home country, this drama received a rating that increased quite rapidly compared to other dramas.
Yoo In Sik as the director said he was grateful and surprised at the positive response from the audience. He also did not expect this drama to be liked by international audiences.
“I was surprised by the overwhelming response we received beyond our expectations. We are touched and grateful that people are so connected with the little stories we prepared," Yoo In Sik quoted Newsen as saying.
This director initially took the initiative to make a drama like a small flower garden where people who watched could use it as entertainment.
“But instantly, this (drama) turned into a garden with blooming flowers. I think our audience already has a bigger garden in their hearts than we ever imagined," he said.
According to Yoo In Sik, viewers like Extraordinary Attorney Woo. He likes simple stories that touch the heart. The main character is also different from most of the characters.
"I think the public longs for stories that can portray minority sentiments including individuals with an autism spectrum that is larger than people's prejudices in general," explained Yoo In Sik.
Remembering that the drama is in the process of being broadcast, Yoo In Sik said that the character Woo Young Woo, played by Park Eun Bin, is still going through several missions. He also leaked the development of Young Woo's relationship with the people around him.
“Young Woo will face something like a huge mountain in front of him. He will also feel the joys and sorrows of love. After all, he would tackle the problem and ask “What makes a person a great lawyer? Please support Young Woo," he concluded.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo tells of Woo Young Woo (Park Eun Bin), a lawyer who is smart and has autism. He never forgets what he saw but he has difficulty communicating socially.
Woo Young Woo starts working as a training lawyer at a large firm. There he faces prejudices about himself but he always solves cases from his own point of view.
