Brigadier J's Handling Case Withdrawn To Polda Metro, Police Say The Reason Is Because Of The Quality Of Investigators
JAKARTA - The handling of the bloody incident of the police shooting the police that killed Brigadier J alias Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat has been withdrawn from the South Jakarta Metro Police to the Metro Jaya Police. One of the reasons is the difference in the quality of investigators.
"Because at Polda Metro Jaya the investigators may be more experienced," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Tuesday, July 19.
Another reason is because the facilities and infrastructure owned by the Polda Metro Jaya are more complete so that they can thoroughly investigate this case quickly.
"The facilities and infrastructure owned are much more complete than the equipment owned by the South Jakarta Metro Police," said Dedi.
However, investigators from the South Jakarta Metro Police are said to still be involved in this handling. This is because they are also members of a special team formed by the National Police Chief. In addition, investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police also continue to provide assistance. Thus, the investigation prioritizes scientific crime investigation or scientific-based investigations.
"The Polda Metro Jaya investigation team received assistance from Bareskrim investigators and in the context of scientific evidence, Inafis went down, then the Forensic Laboratory was down, including forensic medicine," said Dedi.
Previously, the investigation into the bloody incident that killed Brigadier J had been upgraded to the investigation stage. In fact, at this time the handling of this case was withdrawn to the Polda Metro Jaya.
"Yes (the case of Brigadier J is under investigation, ed) according to what the National Police Chief said," he said.
In this case, there were two police reports (LP) which served as the basis for the investigation. First, regarding the alleged attempted murder. The second concerns the threat of violence against women.
In fact, Dedi said that this bloody incident is no longer being investigated by the South Jakarta Metro Police. Because, the handling has been withdrawn to the Polda Metro Jaya.
"To Polda Metro Jaya for the fingerprinting process (investigation, red) Bareskrim carry out assistance," said Dedi.
