New Crystal Palace Players Blackmailed By Journalists And Photographers Who Threaten To Expose False Identities

JAKARTA - English Premier League club Crystal Palace has completed the transfer of Cheick Doucoure from RC Lens. The Malian player was transferred for a price of 22 million pounds (about Rp. 395 billion).

However, there is a problem behind this transfer. The signing of Cheick Doucoure threatens Crystal Palace from a legal point of view because the player is claimed to be using a fake "dual identity".

Attorney Alexis Rutman who represented Doucoure, finally spoke up. He said the claim was raised by a group of people who wanted to blackmail their clients.

The lawyer claimed that an agent, photographer and journalist had threatened to expose Doucoure who he said had a "dual identity".

However, they said they would not do that if Doucoure paid them a significant amount. According to Rutman, the group had sent WhatsApp messages to players.

They provided a message which they claimed was evidence, just days after he signed for the South London club.

Rutman insisted their claims were "false" and threatened legal action against the three.

"Since the announcement of his transfer from RC Lens to Crystal Palace, Mr Cheick Oumar Doucoure and his entourage have been victims of extortion and extortion attempts by several individuals, who are clearly lured in by the profits that should have resulted from this transaction," read a statement from the lawyer, as quoted by the Daily Star. .

"These people claim, with false evidence, that my client will have multiple identities and demand payment of a sum of money in exchange for their silence. Several Whatsapp messages about this, accompanied by forged documents, have been addressed to my client."

Rutman said the situation was very serious and clearly unacceptable. He clearly hopes that the culprits face severe criminal penalties.

"Therefore, all appropriate legal action will be taken, both criminally and civilly, against these three individuals, but also against all persons who would support, or convey, in any form, such acts and/or accusations of defamation, " he insisted.
