Police Arrest Obscene Religion Teacher In Tangerang, The Victims Are 3 Male Students

JAKARTA - Police arrested a lewd teacher with the initials AR (28). He is said to have harassed three junior high school (SMP) students in the Curug area, South Tangerang.

"Determining one suspect with the initials AR," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Tuesday, July 19.

Zulpan said the suspect was a religious teacher. Later, he was also a scout and paskibra extracurricular teacher.

Based on the examination, there were three victims of teacher harassment. They had the initials RPH (13), JRF (14), and AHRJ (17).

"Then the victims were three minors. All three were male," he said.

Then, in carrying out the action, the suspect used the threat mode. The victims were threatened with expulsion from extracurricular members.

"One of these threats is that the victims will be expelled from the paskibra passus at their school. Then, they will also be expelled from the scout passus at their school if they refuse an invitation from the perpetrator," he said.

The disclosure of this case, continued Zulpan, after the victims reported the perpetrator's cruel actions to other teachers. Then, the teacher conveyed to the victim's parents.

From there, the parents went to the police so that this case was investigated.

"The perpetrator was arrested on Sunday, July 17 yesterday," said Zulpan.

In this case, the suspect was charged with Article 82 of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection. The maximum penalty is 15 years in prison.
