The West Jakarta City Government Asks For The Old Town To Be Beautified, The Village Will Contact The Owner Of The Unmaintained Building
JAKARTA - The West Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakbar) will communicate with the local micro-level government to reprimand building owners in the Kota Tua area to be moved to paint their buildings.
Assistant for the Economy and Development of the West Jakarta City Government, Imron, said that painting buildings that were no longer suitable for viewing could beautify the tourist area.
"Old buildings that look neglected at some points, we ask the local officials, namely the urban village and sub-district to contact the owners of the buildings that are not tidy," said Imron when met in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19.
Imron said that if the building owner was willing to tidy up and renovate the building by painting it.
The West Jakarta City Government directs building owners through the lurah and sub-district to be able to carry out painting in order to beautify the Old City area.
If the building owner is not willing to do the painting, then the West Jakarta City Government asks the building owner to be willing to paint it by regional officials.
"I ask the village head to coordinate with existing collaborators to make murals so that the buildings look more beautiful," Imron said, according to Antara.
He also added that based on information from the Old Town Area Management Unit, it is still possible to paint old buildings.
However, if you want to change the form, you must require a recommendation from the cultural heritage team.
Previously, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta carried out the arrangement of the Kota Tua tourist area.
Head of the Highways Agency, Hari Nugroho, said that later there would be a wide pedestrian plaza in the Kota Tua area, just like in the past.
Then vehicles are not allowed to enter, except for electric-based vehicles to support the zero percent emission zone.
