Online Taxi Driver Whose Face Is Covered In Blood Turns Out To Have Been Hit By A Person In Bekasi, Flees To Duren Sawit Until The Thief Screams

JAKARTA - The Head of the Duren Sawit Police, Kompol Martson Marbun, explained the case of beatings experienced by online taxi drivers in the Duren area of East Jakarta, early Thursday, July 14.

According to Police Commissioner Martson Marbun, the incident experienced by residents of Duren Sawit was a series of events that initially occurred in the Bekasi area. H, an online taxi driver, fled to the Duren Sawit area.

"That happened from Bekasi. So he fled to our territory (Duren Sawit), was secured in our territory. Instead of being beaten in our territory," Kompol Marbun said when confirmed, Friday, July 15.

He explained that from the Bekasi area, online taxi drivers hit people and cars. Then the driver, namely H, was beaten by residents in the Bekasi area. Furthermore, as Marbun explained, H fled to save himself in the direction of Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

"He was beaten in the Bekasi area, fled to our territory. He was detained in our territory," he said.

After crashing in the Bekasi area, the perpetrator H panicked again and drove away with the car he was driving. Arriving in the Duren Sawit area, the car hit another car and pedestrian.

"In our area, he also hit him, he was secured. He was afraid to run away, he was chased to our area," he said.

The police chief said that the problem with the online taxi driver's accident had been resolved.

"The problem of the accident is clear to us (Duren Sawit Police), but we don't know whether to make a report or not in Bekasi," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a car driver panicked after being shouted at by a teenage motorbike driver after a gunshot occurred in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta, Thursday, July 14, early in the morning.

Panic, the driver hit a number of vehicles and pedestrians. The driver with the initials H was finally arrested by residents and beaten to a pulp.

"Alamak, I am an application driver, how can I be a thief?" said H, Thursday, July 14.
