What A Shame! Grandfather And Grandson Who Were Dragged Away By The Citamiang Sukabumi River Are Found Dead
SUKABUMI - Two victims of a river accident, grandfather and grandson, were found by the joint SAR team dead. Both of them were swept away by the current of the Citamiang River in Citamiang District, Sukabumi City, West Java.
"The victims, namely Omay (68) and FA (4), residents of Citamiang District, were found in the Citamiang River, precisely in Lemburpasir Village, Sindangsari Village, Lembursitu District, Sukabumi City," said Citamiang Police Chief AKP Arif Saptaraharja in Sukabumi, Antara, Thursday, July 14. .
The joint SAR team found both about 4 km from the scene. Information gathered from the police, the joint SAR team managed to find Omay's body around the Citamiang River in a lifeless condition and was immediately evacuated to R Syamsudin SH Hospital, Sukabumi City.
Conditions at the location, which was raining at that time, did not dampen the joint SAR team to remain enthusiastic in searching for another victim, namely Fadlan. By walking along the Citamiang River for 4 km, the struggle of these humanitarian volunteers finally paid off.
The toddler's body was finally found not far from his grandfather's body 30 minutes from the discovery of Omay's body which was then evacuated using an ambulance belonging to the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Sukabumi City to R Syamsudin SH Hospital.
"The bodies of the grandfather and grandson are undergoing a post-mortem et refertum by the doctor at the RSUD R Syamsudin SH and the identification personnel of the Sukabumi City Police, the results of which are no signs of violence and it is confirmed that the deaths of these two victims were purely an accident or accident," he added.
Arif said that his party had contacted the victim's family to pick up the bodies of Omay and Fadlan for immediate burial at a public cemetery (TPU) in Citamiang District.
