Welcoming Hajj Pilgrims From The Holy Land, PPIH Debarkation Solo Prepares 2 COVID-19 Temperature Detectors
JAKARTA - The Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) for the Debarkation of Solo, Central Java, has prepared two digital body temperature detectors (thermoscans) to welcome the arrival of hajj pilgrims to the country, to anticipate cases of COVID-19.
"The first haj of the Solo Debarkation crew from Pati, Central Java, upon arrival at the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory in Boyolali, on Friday (15 July), will be received at the Muzdalifah Building, while maintaining health protocols," said PPIH Solo Debarkation Public Relations Coordinator Sarip Sahrul Samsudin at the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory. Boyolali, Central Java, Thursday evening, July 14.
According to Sarip, pilgrims during the process of entering the Muzdalifah Building will pass a digital body temperature detector. If a pilgrim is found whose body temperature is above 37.5 degrees Celsius, a health check will be carried out by the medical team.
Hajis who are found to have a high body temperature above those determined with symptoms of fever will be subjected to a more detailed health check, including an antigen swab test, if they are found to be positive they will be treated specifically and referred to a hospital for isolation.
"Hajj returned to the country, has been declared fit to fly to return to Indonesia," said Sarip.
He said that 358 pilgrims from the first batch of Solo Debarkation were scheduled to arrive at Boyolali's Adi Soemarmo Airport, Friday, July 15, at 22.15 WIB.
The ceremonial event is planned to be welcomed by the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, at the Muzdalifah Building, Haji Donohudan, at 23.00 WIB.
He said the number of pilgrims from Central Java from Debarkation Solo who were sick in Saudi Arabia as of Thursday, July 14, was 13 people. The 13 people, consisting of eight people were treated at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Mecca, two people were treated at the King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Mecca, one person, each at the Wiladah Maternity Hospital in Mecca, Al Noer Hospital in Mecca, and the Al Noer Hospital in Mecca. The pilgrim from Kebumen died at the Mecca lodge, on Wednesday July 13, due to cardiovascular disease and his body was buried in Sharae Mecca.
PPIH Debarkation Solo had previously dispatched pilgrims from Central Java and DI Yogyakarta to the Holy Land this year, with a total of 15,447 people divided into 43 groups.
