Drugs In Shoes In Expeditionary Package X-Ray Monitored, 203 Grams Of Methamphetamine Failed To Fly To Kendari

PEKANBARU - Roesmin Nurjadin Airbase (RsN) personnel and Avsec Airport Sultan Syarif Kasim (SSK) II Pekanbaru foiled an attempt to smuggle crystal clear crystal methamphetamine on Wednesday, July 13 afternoon.

The commander of the Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base Marsma TNI Ian Fuady said the 203 grams of crystal methamphetamine was planned to be sent to Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi.

"The results of the officer's inspection showed that the methamphetamine package was stored in Zoomflykn Stre and Jackson shoes. The methamphetamine was found by Indonesian Air Force officers at Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base together with Aviation Security (Avsec) of SSK II Airport in the expedition package at the X-ray cargo warehouse," said Ian at the airport. Pekanbaru, Wednesday 13 July.

He said the methamphetamine was found in a white plastic wrap that would be sent via a Citilink plane to Kendari City.

During the inspection, he said, officers found the name of the sender of the package, namely Handoko who lives on Jalan Kota Piring, Perum Gang Putri Riau RT.01 RW.07, Tanjung Pinang Timur District, Tanjung Pinang City, Riau Islands.

"On the outside of the package was found the address of the recipient named Surio Hamdani with the address at PDAM Bau-Bau City, Wangkanapi Village RT.01 RW. 01 Wolio District, Bau-Bau City, Southeast Sulawesi," he said.

He emphasized that drugs and dealers are the nation's main enemies today.

"I advise the Indonesian Air Force personnel and Avsec officers of SSK II Airport to work hard and be more thorough in checking every item that enters through SSK II Airport and Roesmin Nurjadi Air Base," said Danlanud.

Danlanud emphasized that there is no apology for civilians, especially military members who are involved in drug trafficking.

"If the perpetrators are caught red-handed, they will be legally processed. If the civilians are handed over to the police, but if the military is handed over to the Military Police Unit," he concluded.
