JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Class 1A Rutan has started to apply face-to-face visits to the families of the inmates (WBP). Direct face-to-face visits are carried out on a limited basis while still implementing health protocols.

PLH Head of the Class 1A Central Jakarta Detention Center, Marjono said, the quota for direct face-to-face visits for prisoners was limited to 100 prisoners per day.

From every WBP visited, a maximum of two nuclear family members may only be visited, namely parents, brothers, sisters and so on.

"Starting today, we will carry out face-to-face visits at the Salemba Rutan, Central Jakarta. We will limit our first visit to the nuclear family, namely parents, brothers, sisters and so on. Those who are not nuclear families must use a letter from the RT," said Marjono to VOI at the Salemba detention center. , Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 12.

Meanwhile, families of WBP who have not participated in any vaccinations are required to make an online visit.

"We are still limiting the requirements, for example the requirement to carry out the booster vaccine three times, if not, the booster vaccine must take a rapid test," he said.

The face-to-face visit session was divided into two sessions. In the morning session the maximum is for 50 WBP people.

"Each session of face-to-face visits is a maximum of 50 WBP. In the visiting room we can't even hug, we have to divide and limit it," he said.

For people who want to visit the inmates face-to-face at the Salemba Detention Center, they must first register at the Salemba Detention Center or register online.

"The mechanism for registering face-to-face visits is registered today, for tomorrow's visit," he urged.

Santi, one of the WBP's family from Tangerang was happy when she met her husband. During the pandemic, Santi has been unable to see her beloved husband's face for 2.5 years.

"This is the first time, because during COVID-19 there have been no visits. It's been 2.5 years, I was here with the children, happy to meet their father. I came from Tangerang since morning, the list was yesterday," said Santi to VOI.

When she first made a face-to-face visit, Santi felt happy. She also brought her husband's favorite food.

"Earlier, I brought rice from home. Cook tamarind vegetables, get rid of the feeling of homesickness, eat together," he said.

Tourists, WBP who received a visit also let go of feeling homesick with his family. From the look in his eyes, he was happy to see his wife.

"Thank God for the first visit, we were able to meet in person," he said.
