This Is The Explanation Of Pertamina's President Director About Pertashop With No Buyers

JAKARTA - A number of Pertashop entrepreneurs in a number of areas have complained about the lack of buyers of non-subsidized Pertamax fuel oil (BBM).

This is because many people prefer to buy Pertalite at public gas stations (SPBU).

As is known, PT Pertamina (Persero) forbids the mini gas stations to sell Pertalie which incidentally is subsidized fuel.

Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati explained that the reason Pertashop was not allowed to sell Pertalite was because of regulations governing the distribution of subsidized fuel.

"Why doesn't Pertashop sell Pertalite because that's the regulation. Where to get it, how much is the quota, that's determined by the government," Nicke said in a written statement, Monday, July 11.

However, Nicke said, his party has discussed whether Pertashop can sell subsidized fuel or not.

"But if subsidized fuel can't be sold freely anywhere, because (Pertalite) is a fuel that must be clearly allocated," continued Nicke.

On the other hand, President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga Alfian Nasution said, Pertashop is part of Pertamina One Village One Outlet (OVOO).

Alfian said, Pertamina wants to distribute energy that reaches wider and more evenly.

"Pertamina continues to strive to be able to present 10,000 Pertashops in 7,196 sub-districts throughout Indonesia, and," explained Alfian.

From 2020 to January 2022, around 4,311 Pertashops have operated throughout Indonesia, 473 of them are in East Java Province, and 16 are in Madiun City or Regency.

Of this total, 249 Pertashops are also managed by strategic partners, 54 of which or 22 percent are managed by BUMDes.

However, the challenges in implementing Pertashop development in all corners of the country are very heavy if only done by one party.

"Therefore, assistance, support and cooperation from various parties are needed, including through community empowerment at the village level," he added.

Alfian hopes that Pertashop can develop business with the village community to increase economic value, community productivity while bringing services closer to meeting the needs of fuel oil in the village.

"Pertashop will be present as a driving force for the village economy which will later be able to encourage national economic growth and be able to educate people to use environmentally friendly fuel. Even 12 percent of the total consumption of Pertamax as an environmentally friendly fuel is channeled through Pertashop," explained Alfian.
