The Expensive Price Of Fame, Fabio Quartararo Already Feels It
JAKARTA - Fabio Quartararo is now feeling the fame of MotoGP racer from France. His name is now worldwide, especially after he managed to redeem the MotoGP competition from 2019.
He was able to appear surprising with the Yamaha satellite team in his first season. Fabio Quartararo then became the talk of many people after moving to the factory team to replace Valentino Rossi in 2020.
In 2021, Fabio Quartararo's name will shine even more after winning the MotoGP. Now, motorcycle racing enthusiasts, especially MotoGP, will certainly be familiar with the 23-year-old figure.
However, Quartararo had to pay a heavy price for that fame. He could no longer be the Fabio Quartararo he used to be, whom not many people knew. That popularity also made him unable to spend time with his family like he used to.
"I'm rarely in France because I live in Andorra. However, when I came to my family, it was difficult to enjoy it the way I wanted, because I couldn't just be a Fabio," he said, as reported by Speedweek.
In fact, he continued, he only wanted to be the figure of Fabio Quartararo who was just an ordinary person. He wants to spend time with his family without having to ask for photos or autographs.
"But when I'm out on the streets or we have lunch or dinner in a restaurant, I can't help but become a Fabio Quartararo MotoGP rider," he said.
"It's not that it bothers me. But it makes me a little sad because when I was in France, I just wanted for my family," continued Fabio Quartararo.
